Course description

Electrocardiography is a medical device, which plays a vital unit in day-to-day practice in healthcare practise. It is used to measure the rate and regularity of heartbeats, the presence of any damage to the heart, and the effects of drugs or devices used to regulate heart rate. Students will learn techniques necessary to perform a 12-lead electrocardiography test.

The Electrocardiography course is a one-day, 8-hours, certificate workshop, which consists of hands-on training and in- depth knowledge about the various techniques for conducting and interpreting an electrocardiography test.

The objective of the Electrocardiography certificate course is to learn and apply the principles of conducting a safe and structured electrocardiogram of the patient. Students will learn to identify normal and common abnormal findings from the electrocardiogram.

This program is for healthcare (medical & nursing) students, physicians, medical staff and healthcare professionals who would like to get comprehensive knowledge of electrocardiography and how to adequately conduct and interpret results from an electrocardiography test.
