This module will teach students about collaborating and innovating to create high functioning teams. Students will learn about creating expectations and rules as well as taking teams learning to take responsibility and trusting each other.

Effectively Leading a Team

Students will be introduced to team building exercises, reflective listening, and how-to problem solve as a team. To lead a team, you must understand the dynamic of your team to over-come any possible conflicts that may occur amongst team members. This module will focus on the responsibility of a business and the leaders in that business. Students will learn about ethical and legal responsibilities of these leaders to drive productivity within the team.

Conflict Resolution within a Team

This module will teach project leaders that conflict within a team can be beneficial if it’s constructive. Students will learn how to appreciate the viewpoints from all team members and how to avoid negative conflict within the team.

Managing Projects

Students will learn about scheduling projects and using reliable project management tools. Students will also learn about managing tight deadlines and time constraints while not sacrificing quality of work.

Understanding Project Risks

This module will teach students to identify project risks, properly and efficiently analyze them, and relay risk to team members. Students will learn how to adapt changes that may need to be made during the project but have the least amount of impact from original plans.

Individuals will take away key concepts of being an effective leader in of small and larger size teams and how to manage various projects with the best outcome. The Strategic Project Leadership certificate course will help provide additional professionalism and confidence for individuals in a project management role.

The Strategic Project Leadership certificate course is a short 40-hour course. The online course spans over an 8-week time period and is broken down into modules and a quiz must be completed at the end of each module. The in-class program is a lecture style course with a quiz at the end of each module. This course is usually over a span of 4 days. It is recommended that notes are taken during class and the Instructors will suggest a recommended reading (if necessary) but a course textbook will not be required. The class instructors are Professionals with extensive experience in the courses that are being taught.
