Students also learn the basics of wavelengths and why penetration depth matters for different hair and skin types.

Skin & Hair Basics -Students explore hair growth cycles and why multiple treatments are needed. The Fitzpatrick Skin Typing system is introduced to help assess clients and ensure safe treatments. Emphasis is placed on how skin tone and hair colour affect outcomes.

Laser Safety & Client Protection -A strong focus is placed on safety. Students learn about protective eyewear, room setup, and safe equipment handling. Contraindications such as pregnancy, photosensitive medications, and active infections are discussed so students can identify when treatment is not safe.

Preparing for Treatment -Students will learn how to conduct client consultations and medical history reviews alongside why shaving is required before sessions, and why waxing, threading, and tanning must be avoided. Patch testing and setting clear expectations are emphasized.

Treatment Procedures -Students are guided step by step through laser hair removal. The course explains HR and SHR modes, treatment settings, and safe use of the handpieces. Practical techniques such as the in-motion method are demonstrated, along with guidance on treatment times for different areas.

Aftercare & Healing -This section explains normal post-treatment reactions such as redness and swelling. Students learn how to guide clients with aftercare instructions, including sunscreen use, avoiding hot showers, and limiting sun exposure.
